New office, new team, new running club 🏃 After Centif and ECJ joined forces, we looked for a simple way to connect beyond the meeting room. That’s how the Centif Running Club was born. For over a month now, a group of colleagues has been going for a weekly run through the green surroundings of our new office. Opening event: introducing our third guest speaker 📣 At our event on June 5th Stan van Duijnhoven, MSc, Security Compliance Specialist at IXON will share his expertise on cybersecurity in manufacturing. One intern. One robot. One flawless thesis. And now… one action figure to match this accomplishment. We’re proud to announce that Brecht Van den Brandt, a graduate in Electromechanics-Automation from AP Hogeschool Antwerpen, completed his bachelor thesis at Centif and was awarded best thesis in his program. His challenge? A real-world automation project: designing a robotic cell capable of handling different types of trash can lids, fully automatically. The result? A flawless automation setup and a top score of 92%. From breakdown to breakthrough: how collaboration drives results Arop vzw a sheltered workshop based in Wilrijk, faced major issues with a recently acquired automation machine. Poor programming left the machine unusable and productivity dropped dramatically. Output and quality were far below standard, forcing dozens of employees to step in manually where one machine should have sufficed. Enter Centif. Thanks to a thoughtful, step-by-step approach and transparent collaboration, one of our automation engineers succeeded in making the machine profitable again. Production quickly ramped up to full speed with just 7 operators instead of the original 27! 🔧 Interlocks, structural improvements and a remote module ensured stability, safety and rapid remote interventions. 💬 Constant communication and mutual trust with Aerop were key to making this a success.
